Jabardeus is the leading Spanish world music group. We offer a trip back through the folk European music.Jabardeus is a group of versatile minstrels. Our music is based in the world music and in our own compositions.
We perform concerts on stage with amplification, Street concerts, and historical costumed events.
Our powerful presence both on stage and in the streets is based on carefully recreated medieval costumes and the intense energy that manifests itself through the plasticity of movement and dance.
Also, the group instruments are carefully chosen to adapt to the different stages on which we perform.
Of enormous power is our street entertainment with instruments such as tarota (big bombard) grallas (like bombard), bagpipes, percussion.
And for the stage a more varied and subtle array of instruments: bouzuki, flutes, bagpipes, tarota and percussion.
Jabardeus has more than 10 years of experience in the street entertainment and on stage. We are currently recording our 3rd CD.
We are demonstrating year after year to be one the most important group to recreate historical medieval music acting in various renowned international festivals: European Medieval Festival in Dinan “La Fête des Remparts” , The “Desembarco de Carlos V”, the Renaissance festival in Le Puy en Velay ”Le Roi de l'Oiseau”, The Medieval festival of Provins ”Médiévales de Provins”, The “Viagem Medieval” Festival of St Maria da Feira in Portugal, Middle Age festival in Avila and Santiago de Compostela, Pirates Festival in Ciotat, ….
